Backup WP Fatal Error

  1. I installed a new wordpress and added BUWP and am getting this error when I try to activate it:

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 11520 bytes) in /home/d/a/b/3407/3407/public_html/wp-includes/class-phpmailer.php on line 406

    Any ideas what is up?

    here is my info:

  2. full error reads...

    hmm, i have memory_limit = 10M in the php.ini file. but my info.php file shows it to be 8M. I wonder if that is the problem.

    Grr why won;t the memory stick?
